Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport to be met and assisted by your ITC representative (today's program depends on arrival time) Put down roots immediately as you plant a tree in Israeli soil, in honor or in memory of a loved one; share something special with the group about the person in whose honor/memory you are planting. At Independence Hall, relive Ben Gurion's moving declaration of the State. Optional: Explore the pathways, art galleries, and market stalls of Old Jaffa, once the gateway to Eretz Yisrael; review the biblical story of Jonah the Prophet on site Hotel check-in and welcome dinner.

Tuesday, 22 June - Israeli Peers

Climb down into the amazing underground, pre-State bullet factory built by the Haganah under the noses of the British at the Ayalon Institute. Spend the remainder of today in the Shaar Hanegev Region, with activities to be coordinated by P2K, including lunch and an Argentinean barbeque dinner with our Israeli peers arranged by P2K

Wednesday, 23 June - Foundations of the Modern State

Enjoy an extremely impressive presentation of the amazing achievements of the Palmach at the new multi-media Palmach Museum (if available) Take part in the mitzvah of "leket" at the Table to Table project as you harvest crops for the needy. Tour the synagogues, courtyards, and shops of the mystical city of Tzefat. Continue to the Galilee for hotel check-in Enjoy home hospitality with kibbutz families followed by dinner at the kibbutz.

Thursday, 24 June - The Golan Heights

Take a short nature walk through Tel Dan or a longer hike through the Banias Nature Reserve. Travel along the Golan Heights by jeep, off the beaten track, and stop to gaze down over the Galilee as the Syrians once did. Learn about the history of the Golan Heights and the valiant story of Gamla, called the "Masada of the North," at the lovely Golan Antiquities Museum. Free time for lunch (on one's own) in Katzrin, the capital of the Golan. At the peak of Har Bental, enter army bunkers and take in a panoramic view at the crossroads of three countries. Glide down the Jordan River on a kayak. Enjoy a free evening on the lakeshore Tiberias Promenade.

Friday, 25 June - From the Galilee to Jerusalem

In Tiberias, visit Dona Gracia House to become acquainted with the fascinating life of this 16th century Jewish heroine and Tiberias financial leader via dramatic story-telling, short film, dress-up in period clothing Stop at the ancient Beit Alpha Synagogue to examine its striking mosaic floor; enjoy a short, amusing film about plans to renovate this ancient synagogue two millennia ago. Travel south along Israel's border with Jordan Ascent to Jerusalem. Gaze upon the Old City of Jerusalem from the Haas Promenade, as did Abraham at the dawn of Jewish history; take in the breathtaking view. Sunday, 27 June - Making a Difference

- Drive along Jerusalem's former border with Jordan, pre-1967. At the "Dig for a Day" program at Beit Guvrin, have a hands-on experience of archeology as you uncover actual artifacts while taking part in an ongoing archeological dig; "cave crawl" also available for the adventurous. Take in a special multi-media presentation about the life of the Father of Modern Zionism at the new Herzl Exhibit (if available) . Visit the new Holocaust Memorial Museum (age 12 and up only) and the Children's Memorial at Yad Vashem; alternative interactive tour available for younger children on site. Parents' night out; children enjoy a pizza supper out on the town with the family counselor

Take part in a moving Bar/Bat Mitzvah service at Robinson's Arch Explore the Southern Wall Excavations and take a virtual, computerized "walk" through the ancient Temple Mount at the Davidson Center In the Kotel Tunnels, walk alongside the massive foundation stones of the Western Wall . Go way back in time to King David's Jerusalem in David's City and enjoy sloshing through Hezekiah's water tunnel (strap-on water shoes and flashlights needed) Enjoy a camel trek and biblical hospitality with a delicious bar/bat mitzvah celebratory dinner in Abraham's tent in the Judean Desert at Eretz Bereshit

Tuesday, 29 June - Freedom Fighters or Fanatics?

Depart for the Dead Sea Region Ascend to Masada by cable car; tour this magnificent excavation and a discussion of the terrible dilemma faced by its Jewish population during Roman times. Take a walk through the beautiful Ein Gedi nature reserve and hear the biblical story of kings David and Saul that took place "on site" Enjoy for an unsinkable swim and mud baths at the amazing Dead Sea, followed by hot showers. Farewell dinner at Olive and Fish Restaurant in Jerusalem.

Early morning domestic flight to Eilat from Tel Aviv. Board a luxury touring yacht at the Eilat marina for a leisurely cruise and lunch on the Red Sea. Snorkeling equipment is available for those who would like to get "up close and personal" with the most exquisite coral reefs and tropical fish to be found in the world. Evening: walk Eilat's promenade, and join in the excitement of Israeli life.

Thursday, 1 July - The Wonders of Petra

Early departure for Petra to explore the amazing decorated red rock formations of the ancient Nabateans. Enter Jordan at the Arava crossing and travel to the Red Rose City by bus (approx. 2.5 hours).
