Enter the Old City of Jerusalem for an early morning visit to Robinson's Arch, the "Conservative Kotel" In the Kotel Tunnels, walk alongside the massive foundation stones of the Western Wall Stop for a choice of quick lunches at "Hertzog 61" At the Israel Museum, tour the new Shrine of the Book and the Second Temple Model of Jerusalem Visit colorful, bustling Machane Yehuda open-air market as Jerusalem prepares for Shabbat Kabbalat Shabbat at Robinson's Arch with Cantor Matis Delicious Shabbat dinner at the hotel

Spend some time this morning relaxing or shopping in Jerusalem Mid-morning departure for the Negev Desert Tour the Negev community of Sderot, including an overview into Gaza; meet there with community leaders to discuss their experiences during the war and its aftermath Visit an Negev army base and other MetroWest project/s (lunch and visits arranged by P2K) Early evening: Proceed to Omer for a catered supper together with members of Masorti congregation, Magen Avraham. Evening: Concert by Cantor Matis at Magen Avraham.

Monday, December 28 - The Dead Sea Region
Spend today relaxing at our Dead Sea resort hotel, enjoying its pool and spa and the amazing Dead Sea. Optional morning excursion: Ascend Masada by cable car. Tour this impressive excavation and discuss the terrible dilemma faced by its Jewish population during Roman times - Lunch on one's own Optional early afternoon excursion: Enjoy a walk through the beautiful Ein Gedi Nature Reserve and review the biblical story of kings David and Saul "on site" Late afternoon: Depart for Eilat, traveling through the Arava Desert.
